7.   Established the Vaidyabhushanam K. Raghavan Thirumulpad Foundation for Ayurvedic Studies in to promote in-depth academic studies in ayurveda. Presently the Foundation is engaged in publishing a highly rated Quarterly journal (Vaidyasamvadam) in which Thirumulpad writes on the fundamental and clinical aspects of Ayurveda.
8.   Offering guidance in Sanskrit and ayurveda to research students at the doctoral level. Recently Dr.M.S. Valiathan, renowned medical scientist and founder director of Sri Chitra Institute of Medical Sciences, sought the guidance of Sri. Thirumulpad, for an in depth study on Charakasamhitha (a classical text of ayurveda) as a part of Homi Bhaba fellowship. This work has been published by Orient Longman - ‘Legacy of Charaka’.

During the 1950's and 60's, inspired by Gandhian ideals, Thirumulpad was active in the constructive programmes initiated by Gandhiji like nature cure, propagation of Hindi, Khadi movement, and Sarvodaya. Following the example of Dr B C Roy in his own life, everyday, the forenoon time was dedicated to medical practice and the afternoons to social service. During this period, Thirumulpad was active in propagating Hindi, and in the Kerala Sarvodaya Sangh (a regular participant in the Sarvodaya Mela organized every year from January 30th to Feb 12th). He has also penned a number of polemical articles in various newspapers and magazines like The Express Daily defending Gandhian politics and philosophy. A collection of such articles in response to the book ‘Mahatma and ism’ written by the Marxist ideologue and leader E M S Nampoodiripad, was published in book form in 1957 under the title 'Ism and Mahatma'.

Author of a number of poems, slokas, stotras and kavyas in Sanskrit as well as in simple, chaste Malayalam.
Raghaveeyam,Kopisamdesah,Putropadesam,Ayyappastuthi,are some examples.He has also written in other genres like tharattupattu and kaikottikkalipattu.

 
Translator
 

Thirumulpad is a translator of great repute in Malayalam. He has translated various classics from Sanskrit and Tamil into Malayalam.

Bhagavathgeetha,Thirukkural,Hariyetheduka,Chhayanarayaneeya, Devimahatmyam etc.are important translation-works of Thirumulpad.

 
Sanskrit Scholar
 

Author of several scholarly and creative works including slokas, kavyas and prabandhas.
Important Sanskrit works are Raghaveeyam,Kopisamdesah etc.

Thirumulpad has several published works to his credit. One of the greatest living commentator and exponent of major Ayurveda texts like Ashtanga Samgraha, he has written several books are on Ayurveda, philosophy, politics, literature and ethical living.

AWARDS: STEC Award,K.K.Rahulan Award,Akshaya Puraskaram are some of the awards won by him.
